re-evaluating.

as 2025 comes to a close, it seems cliché, but re-evaluating and processing the year is something that would probably benefit me.

46 - blogs on the year. 6 weeks I took off when I went to Spain and then re-covering my footing.

588 - unique visitors to my website (thank you for being here).

1,800 - page views.

metro. - most viewed blog.

10 - just start. s1 episodes.

5 - countries visited.

2 - bull runs in Pamplona.

literally an uncountable number of biers with friends and loved ones.

1 - new job.

1 - pretty rough breakup.

$1000’s saved - learning some basic car maintenance.

94not/87on.

1 - new laptop (well overdue).

3 - new video/editing/graphic programs I began learning how to use.

98.2 - miles ran.

66 - unread messages.

3 - times I did karaoke.

those are just some metrics that I thought about bringing up.

beyond metrics though, there’s a lot of introspection that has been going on throughout the year and I think they’re simple but at this moment, they mean something to me; I hope they might to you (future me or anyone reading this)

  • no other choice; never doom.

  • sometimes, it’s best to not understand it, rather just to feel it.

  • what’s happened, happened.

  • there’s always a clock.

  • to worry is to sin.

  • love is crazy because you start off loving intentionally and then if it ever ends, you do nothing but love with the intent of not feeling that love ever again.

  • don’t go home until you’re proud.

  • they can’t all be winners.

  • walk through the damn door / swing the damn bat.

  • I owe it all to the most high.

  • so much noise, tune it out.

  • every moment shall come.

  • it is a stain on my life that I am so vain.

  • life is a comedy.

  • sui generis.

  • LoAs.

  • fail quickly.

  • RIP Robert Cohn.

  • fkn care.

  • action / everything.

2025 has been a hell of a year. Ups, downs, lefts, and rights at the top of the year, I could not predict I would be where I am at now. it’s been the best year of my life so far, THANK YOU GOD.

2025 Chapters:

IV. Documentation + Accountability

if you’re reading this, I appreciate you and what you do for me. I hope you had yourself a 2025. I hope you documented as much of it as possible that way you can look back and remember where you were. turn not into a pillar of salt, but just remember from time to time. to remember why you are where you are. it makes more sense in reverse.

Happy New Year team, to a 2026 full of life, learning, growth, effort, love, support, and anything else you might need along the way from yours truly.

from the chateau.

action / everything.

all praise is due to the most high.

P.S. I’m testing a new feature, so you SHOULD be able to leave a comment on these going forward (if not, I’ll keep tweaking with it and that should definitely be the case starting next week.)
